South Burnett CTC: Community Safety and Crime Prevention Conference

The Fraser Coast Regional Council together with the Queensland Police Service proudly present Community Safety … it’s everyone’s business a Community Safety and Crime Prevention Conference.

This one day conference provides an opportunity to showcase and share practical crime prevention and community safety initiatives relative to the Wide Bay Burnett. Guest speakers will cover a range of topics including:

• The Prevention of Online Fraud Victimisation - an examination of the characteristics of online fraud in relation to seniors, problems relating to prevention and ways to reduce the likelihood.

• Who’s Chatting to Your Kids? - a presentation on internet risks and how you can reduce the risk of your child becoming a victim.

• Project Unity - developing social networks, strengthening leadership and creating a sense of belonging in a culturally diverse community.

• Safe from the Start - an innovative project developed in Tasmania addressing the impact of family violence on young children.
