Career Advice Australia is an Australian Government initiative to provide young Australians aged 13-19 with expert industry career advice and workplace learning experiences. An important arm of Career Advice Australia is Local Community Partnerships.
Local Community Partnerships
Local Community Partnerships work with schools and local community organisations to help you get access to quality career information, advice and training as you move through school and on to further study, training or work.
They achieve this through forming partnerships with all the important groups in your community - like schools, youth service providers, local industries, businesses, employer groups, career advisers, parents and other government agencies.
Through these connections Local Community Partnerships facilitate three important programmes in schools.
Local people in Monto, Gin Gin, Gayndah, Murgon and Kingaroy have been employed by CTC and based in schools to deliver LCP programs. They will play a supporting role to what schools are already accomplishing in the area of career development, supporting staff, students and parents.
Our staff (pictured) help students in a variety of areas such as; job search training, career and job exploration, accessing work placement and work experience opportunities, preparing for the world of work, achieving goals, identifying interests and skills, developing Learning Pathways Plans and Senior Education and Training (SET) Plans, and organising visiting speakers, field trips and Career Expos. |
