A brief description of the Structured Workplace Learning Program outcomes are listed below:

• Identify Structured Workplace Learning Program (SWLP) needs of each cluster and schools within this cluster - specifically to identify SWLP components of VET subjects within schools (Category 1) and vocational learning needs within schools (Category 2)
• Work with the schools to identify students' individual interests and career paths to ensure suitable matching of Work Placements
• Promote the SWLP program with employers/businesses and the community
• Promote the advantages of the SWLP with students and their parents/care givers
• Liaise with industry groups /businesses/employers to provide quality Work Placement opportunities
• Coordinate and facilitate work placements including briefings and inductions prior to placement
• Maintain a database of businesses/employers and their particular requirements/expectations
• Provide support for students undertaking work placement and for businesses/employers hosting them
• Promote and encourage opportunities for special needs students to participate in work placement
• Support special needs students within work placement
