Youth Connections is funded by the Commonwealth of Australia as represented by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.
Youth Connections provides a service for young people who have disengaged or are at risk of disengaging from education or training. Youth Connections will support clients to attain a Year 12 education or equivalent and to then make a successful transition to further study, training or work.
Youth Connections is for young people who are:
o 14 to 18 years old
o Are not attending school or study regularly
o Have not attended school or study for an extended period
o Have not completed year 12 or equivalent
o Are not employed
o Are facing barriers to accessing school, study or skills training
Young people who are eligible for the Youth Connections program will have access to one-on-one case management. Through case management young people will be supported through an engagement plan to identify and attain short and long term goals. All young people will have access to activities and one off programs designed to provide engagement and information, as well as being provided with support to other programs.
Youth Connections is a Centrelink approved activity.
